In the morning of June 12, 2017, the opening ceremony for 2017 International Young Directors’Festival was held in Xi'an JianGuo Hotel by XPUand  Contemporary Film magazine, Japan &Shaanxi Economic and Cultural Communication Association.

The International Young Directors’Festival aims to create a new film art exchange platform which mainly involves of countries along the Silk Road and young directors from all over the world. The theme of the festival is "New Silk Road,New Youth,NewMovies".40 young film directorsand producers from15 countries including Japan, Malaysia, India, Germany will screen their works at the festival. At the same time, there are five experts from well-known universities will deliver the speeches based on practical experience of film creation.
