On April 27th, Zhou Yunhai, Minister of Investment and Development of Xi’an International Community, Xu Haiqing, Vice Manager of Wonder Town Construction and Development Company, Cai Xichun,Managing Director of Xi’an Wonder Town, Agata Aiazzi,Artistic Director, Alexandra,Oversea Promoting Manager, Omar, Architecture Design Consultant of Chic Group and related staff visited XPU to discuss cooperation matters. Gao Ling, President of XPU hold the meeting, and Li Pengfei,Vice President introduced the field research on Xi’an International Community. In addition, Chen Lixia, Director of the International Office, Zhang Jin, Director of theTransformation of Scientific and Technological Achievements, Ma Dong, Dean of the School of New Media Art, Lu Zhao, Vice President of School of Apparel and Art Design also attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Zhou introduced the planning of Xi’an International Community Wonder Town in detail fromspatial arrangement,function module, industry planning, core values and design concept. Zhou hoped that through the cooperation between XPU and high level art universities of Italy, Xi’an International Community Wonder Town would be filled with human resources and fashion elements to promote industrial vitality and create a fashion identity which can represent Xi’an culture and influences. Then, Cai also introduced the current connection with Istituto Marangoni, Istituto Europeo di Design,Politecnico di Milano and Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti Milano. He stated that he will expedite related projects to promote the cooperation.
On the basis of field study of International Community on April 25th, Li suggested that the exploitation and construction of International Community should pay attention to culture leadership and accurate position. Through exploring in-depth cooperation between sino-foreign education,vocational training and scientific research,both parties would achieve "win-win" situation.
President Gao made a concluding remarks. He stated that XPU has profound ability of teaching and scientific research, and has been committed to extracting fashion elements from long tradition of Chinese culture to provide human resource and services for fashion and creative education and fashion industries in Xi’an and even in China. Besides, XPU regards the Chinese history and culture as the foothold and in terms of the “Belt and Road”, XPU tell the Chinese stories well and let the world listen to China’s voice. The in-depth connection with Xi’an International Community is undoubtedly an important opportunity to create Xi’an fashion identity, to lead Xi’an fashion culture, to occupy the “highland” of the fashion. He hoped that both sides complete the top level design, conduct the cooperation modal, refine the cooperation details, formulate the scientific program and intrinsic driving force of innovation and entrepreneurship as soon as possible after make a clear intention. Xi’an will be built into an important external communication center, silk road center and silk road cultural highland.
