On August 21st, the conference of the National University Engineering Graphics Discipline Committeewas held in the 3rd conference room of Jinhua Campus ofXPU. 49 members of Engineering Graphics Committee from Zhejiang University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tongji University, Tianjin University, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, China University of Petroleum, Northwestern Polytechnical University and senior experts and scholarsin the field of graphics were invited to attend the meeting. President Gao Ling delivered a welcome speech.

The meeting was divided into twosessions, namely the opening ceremony and the academic exchange. The opening ceremony was hosted by Professor Lei Guangming, deputy director of the National Engineering Graphics Committee. Gao Ling and Shi Yueding, the chairman of the Committee and professor of Zhejiang University delivered speeches respectively. On behalf of XPU,  Gao Ling expressed his warm welcome to the leaders of the Engineering Graphics Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, the members of the National Engineering Graphics Committee and senior experts and scholars from the academic circles. He introduced the history of XPU, characteristics, discipline construction, teaching situation and achievements of engineering graphics in recent years. He also expressed gratitude to the Engineering Graphics Education Commission of the Ministry of Education and the National College Engineering Graphics Committee for their guidance to the construction of Engineering Graphics.

The academic exchange was chaired by Shi Yueding. Professor Jiang Dan of Shanghai Jiaotong University delivered the speech of Construction and Thinking of MOOCof Engineering Graphics Course. Professor Fei Shaomei of Zhejiang University, Secretary-General of Engineering Graphics Education and Instruction Committee for The Reform of Engineering Graphics Teaching in Zhejiang University. And Professor Yuan Feng of Tianjin University for Strengthening Space Training to Help Cultivate Innovative Talents. Professor Cao Min of XPU delivered a keynote speech on exploring how to improve the teaching level of engineering graphics by sailing from the Mapping Competition.

On the occasion of celebrating the 40th anniversary of the independent establishment of XPU, this meeting was held at XPU,which played an important role in expanding the influenceof XPU in the national colleges and improving the teaching and research level of engineering graphics.
