Recently, the Xi'an Municipal Government and the Xi'an Science and Technology Bureau jointly announced the results of the first Xi'an Star (in the fields of science, technology, culture and health). A total of 25 scientific and technological talents in the city were awarded the honorary title of "Xi'an Star" in the field of science and technology. Shao Jingfeng from School of Management of XPU, was honored.

The selection of "Xi'an Star" was carried out by the Xi'an Municipal Committee and the Municipal Government in accordance with the "Measures for the Implementation of Xi'an Star" Plan in order to further create a social atmosphere of "respecting labor, knowledge, talent and creativity". Through the procedures of organizational declaration and recommendation, expert evaluation, comprehensive examination and social publicity, a group of excellent talents who were engaged in front line work in the fields of science, technology, culture and health in the city and have a passion for their posts, outstanding achievements, excellent moral character and decent style were selected.
