From October 25th to 27th, 2019 National Symposium on Technology and Application of High Performance Fiber and Its Composites was held Xi’an. It was hosted by XPU and National Center for Special Synthetic Fibers. Nearly 200 experts and scholars attended the meeting. XPU vice president Li Pengfei and director of National Center for Special Synthetic Fibers Luo Yifeng delivered speeches at the opening ceremony.

XPU professor Ren Xueqin, Dean of the Research Institute of Composite Material Industry in Inner Mongolia Zhou Zhongfu and general manager of NO.1 Company in Shenzhen Kang Hongwei co-hosted the academic meeting. Luo and Zhou and other experts reported their studies.

After the meeting, there were heated discussion and trades. This meeting provideda platform for the cooperation between universities and colleges. The conference linked enterprises, universities, and research institutes. Universities cultivated talents for enterprises and research institutes; enterprises encountered problems and fed back to university to research, which promoted the development of society and formed a virtuous circle.
