Latest tips for international visitors to Xi’an during the epidemic period(Co-issued by Foreign Affairs Office of 

Xi’an Municipal People's Govermment and the Exit and Entry Administration Bureau of Xi’an Public Security Bureau)

At present, the containment of COVID-19 has entered into a critical period in Xi’an, the Headquarters of the Epidemic Prevention and Control of Xi’an decided to adopt the real-name registration for all kinds of personnel through the comprehensive trial of the “Xi’an Passcode” (as known as “一码通”). This aims to better prevent the external importation of cases and internal non-proliferation.

As of 12pm February 21st, all individuals returning back to Xi'an regardlesshow they were transported, could use WeChat's QR code scanning functionto subscribe to the official "Xi'an public security service" account (Orusing your mobile phone to scan Xi'an "一码通") before entering the city.

In order provide the best in the epidemic prevention and control, as well as return to work and production as a whole, achievingthe best prevention both internal and external, the "Xi'an epidemic prevention and control management system" was specially optimized and upgraded. All foreigners entering Xi’anas well as those returning will only need to pay attention to the official "Xi'an public security service" account on Wechat (or scan through Xi'an"一码通") before their departure, so that the registration of personal information registration can be completed.

Option 1: Scan the QR code using Wechat, subscribe to the "Xi'an public security service"

2: Registration process:

    Click“出站登记”

Choose“个人通行二维码申请入口”

After reading the Declaration notice, click"确认"

Choose"我要进入西安"

Choose what transportation you took to enter Xi’an accordingly

Different items are to be filled out depending on the type of transportation. After entering the verification code you receive on your phone, click “保存”(save)

Your personalized QR code will be generated

On the main page, click"我的",then click"我的二维码"to activate your personalized QR code

Important Note

Before leaving the airport, railway station, high-speed railway station, long-distance bus station or entering Xi'an through the inspection station, please prepare your ID card in advance and access your personal QR code on your mobile phone for the public security police to scan and review. (for the outbound passengers of cross district and long-distance passenger transport in the city, they need to show their tickets and ID cards to the police, and they can only leave the station after the verification)
