XPU has two libraries in Lintong and Jinjua campuses, which cover an area of 34ooo square meters. There are 5 departments: literature, construction department, reader service department, information consulting department, information technology department and administrative office in each library.

Literature resources have long adhered to the construction of a multi-disciplinary and multi-document carrier coexisting resource guarantee system with engineering as the main feature, textiles, printing and dyeing, and apparel art as the characteristics, and a combination of science, engineering, management and literature.

At present,the two libraries have formed a comprehensive collection resource that complements paper documents and electronic documents, and integrated multiple types of documents such as books, periodicals, dissertations, standards, and patents. By December 31, 2019, there were 23,104 registered readers in the libraries, and the cumulative collection of resources reached 9.79 million volumes (pieces), including more than 1.87 million paper documents, more than 6.88 million e-books, and 26,000 kinds of  electronic journals, 48 various databases including full-text database, index database, multimedia resource database, discovery system, and fact case database etc.

In order to improve the library's automated service level, the library introduced a self-service borrow and return machine in 2012, and launched a discovery system in 2015 and embedded Baidu academic search, enabling one-stop retrieval of databases and Internet resources.

In the same year, the library's WeChat public account was also opened, allowing readers to inquire about the bibliography, renew books, and read e-books and other documents through the mobile library. In addition, readers can also achieve off-campus access through multiple channels such as VPN and Shibboleth certification services. In June 2019, an access control card swiping system was added to the Jinhua campus, and the WiFi construction project of the two campus libraries was completed at the same time, providing readers with a more convenient online experience.
