In order to further answer the call of the State Department’s for “Mass Innovation and Entrepreneurship”, created a good atmosphere for innovation and entrepreneurship, and promoted cultural exchanges between Chinese and foreign makers, “International Maker Travel” sponsored by Innovation Industry Belt Management Office of Beilin District entered in XPU’s Fashion Cultural Creative Industry Center on November 11, 2018.
The activity was attended by Mitch Altman, American inventor, entrepreneur and educator, the founder of the Maker, the founder of American famous Noisebridge, the president and CEO of Maitian Electronics, Diane Hamilton, the founder of original clothing brand Bluedeetu, Jonathan Hefter, the founder of Neverware, Leandra Tejedor, American famous educators, developers and designers, and other international marker guests from Australia, Poland, Cyprus, Brazil and other countries, as well as the guest of Mud Maker Space.
Maker guests visited Fashion Craft Workshop, Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, Creative Design Center and Cultural Creative Experience Center,researched on the construction and operation of the practice platform which built by XPU; understood the main work of XPU’s student maker team, communicated with students and put forward some suggestions. International Maker’s visit lasted for 3 hours. They highly praised XPU’s platform building of the Creative Center, the environment of innovation and entrepreneurship, and creative design results of the teachers and students.
The “International Maker Travel” not only promoted the cultural and ecological construction of Chinese and foreign countries, but also established communication platform for global makers. The “International Maker Travel” entered in XPU, promoted the international exchange and cooperation between cultural creative and innovation and entrepreneurship, strengthened learning and communication with international excellent maker team, and established good foundation in development of innovation and entrepreneurship and construction of maker culture.
