Recently, the Third Film Exhibition Award Ceremony for College Students was held in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia. Senior undergraduate Ning Yike won Best Drama Award by his short movie THE HILLS. His major is Broadcasting and Television Editing in School of New Media Art. His teacher Si Xiaoxia won the Excellent Instructor Award. THE HILLS was directed by Ning Yike as his graduate design work, co-worked by the graduates of Broadcasting and Television Editing.
The movie recounted that the protagonist Nasatsu with his father Battle reconciled finally after understanding his father’s work as grassland conservator. The Film Organizing Committee commented on the movie: The simple dialogueis a reflection of thousands of families sacrificing themselves for the country. The father-and-son relationship is a mirror of Chinese dealing with family members—implicit and indirect. (Trans-editing by Wang Huan)
