On November 1st, 2018, "Press Conference on Statistical Result of Chinese Scientific and Technological Papers 2018" was held in Beijing International Conference Center. According to the Natural Science Volume of the Citation Report (Core Edition) of the 2018 Chinese Science and Technology Periodicals, Journal of Xi'an University of Engineering and Journal of Basic Science of Textile Universities were both selected as "China Science and Technology Core Periodicals".
"China Science and Technology Core Periodicals" is an important science and technology periodical selected by the China Institute of Science and Technology Information of the Ministry of Science and Technology after a strict quantitative and qualitative analysis of the core total citation frequency, core impact factors, core other citation rate and other important periodical measurement indicators. Discipline category includes natural science and social science. It includes scientific and technological journals which are more important in various disciplines in China and can reflect the development level of the discipline. Of the more than 10,000 journals in China, 2423 were selected as "China Science and Technology Core Periodicals". Natural Science Volume included 1923 Chinese journals, 106 English journals, and Social Science Volume 394 journals.
"Journal of Basic Science of Textile Universities" has been selected as "China's Core Journal of Science and Technology" for more than 10 consecutive times since 2002. Since the Journal of Xi'an University of Engineering was selected as the "core Journal of science and technology in China" in 2013, the quantity and quality of manuscripts have declined significantly. Therefore, school leaders attach great importance to finding, facing and analyzing problems together with the editorial department of journals. Over the past five years, with the correct guidance and care of the school leaders, all the staff of the editorial department of the journal have worked together to optimize the column setting, organize high-quality manuscripts, establish a collection and editing system, analyze the measurement indicators, and the academic quality and measurement indicators of the Journal of Xi'an University of Engineering have been improved year by year. The status of the journal industry and academic shadow have also been enhanced. The sound power is constantly improving. The two journals have successively won the first prize of "excellent sci-tech periodicals of Chinese universities", "excellent online periodicals of Chinese sci-tech papers", "excellent journals of journals of Shaanxi universities", "excellent sci-tech periodicals of Shaanxi Province", "excellent team of sci-tech periodicals of Chinese universities", "advanced collective of national textile and clothing education", "Shaanxi Province". Western University outstanding journal editorial department and other honors.
The selection of the two journals in our university is the result of the joint efforts of leaders at all levels, editorial committees, reviewers, authors, readers and all the staff of the editorial department of the journal. This is not only an important opportunity for development, but also a new starting point. The Editorial Department of journals will uphold the rigorous and realistic academic attitude and pragmatic and efficient work style. It will never forget its original intention and move forward, constantly improve the level of running journals and create high-quality academic journals.
