From October 26 to 27, the presiden of XPU, Gao Ling, and the deputy president, Li Pengfei, the leaderships of the Party Committee Office, the transformation center of scientific and technological achievements, and the head of the Office of Science and Technology participated in the talent summit of "Hometown of Famous Persons" in Shaoxing, 2018, and discussed with the government of Keqiao District of Shaoxing on the co-construction of Keqiao Textile Industry Innovation Research Institute. A broad consensus has been reached and a framework agreement has been signed.
At the exchange symposium with Keqiao District Committee and District Government, Gao Ling introduced in detail the development process, discipline characteristics and advantages, scientific research strength and transformation of scientific and technological achievements of the school. Gao Ling pointed out that in recent years, XPU focused on the transformation and upgrading of textile industry, adhered to the road of characteristic development, based on the traditional professional system of textile and apparel disciplines, adjusted the disciplinary settings around the dominant industrial chain, and formed textile machinery, intelligent manufacturing, information control, textile materials and clothing with textile engineering as the core. The textile discipline chain supported by design and textile economic management has a complete training system for textile and apparel talents. Gao Ling hoped to strengthen in-depth cooperation through co-construction and research institutes, to provide professional talents for Keqiao textile and garment industry, and effectively solve the technical difficulties and professional needs faced by enterprises in transformation and upgrading. Shen Zhijiang, Secretary of Keqiao District Committee, introduced the geographic characteristics of Keqiao and the development of textile printing and dyeing, textile and chemical industry. In particular, he had an interactive exchange with our school on the specific implementation of the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, technological innovation and technology transfer. The two sides agreed to build Keqiao Textile Industry Innovation Research Institute of Xi'an University of Engineering on the principle of resource sharing, complementary advantages and mutual cooperation, to further promote the integration of government, industry, University and research, accelerate the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, and inject new momentum into the sustainable development of regional economy with high quality.
On the morning of October 27, China Shaoxing 2018 Talents Summit of "Hometown of Celebrities" opened with the attendance of Gao Ling, Li Pengfei, Shaoxing Party Secretary Ma Weiguang and Mayor Sheng Yuchun. More than 600 high-level talents from all over the world, including some academicians from both academies, gathered to talk about innovation and seek common development. At the meeting, universities including Tsinghua University and Zhejiang University signed cooperation agreements with Shaoxing City respectively. Kaolin and Zhao Rulang, the president of Keqiao District, signed a framework agreement for the co-construction of Keqiao Textile Industry Innovation Research Institute of Xi'an Engineering University. At the same time, Kaoling has been interviewed by Zhejiang TV, Phoenix, Tencent, Shaoxing TV and Keqiao TV. He said that Keqiao Textile Industry Innovation Research Institute of Xi'an Engineering University will locate new textile materials, fashionable (high-end) fabrics and clothing, intelligent textile equipment and other scientific and technological frontiers, focusing on Gonggong. Deep cooperation should be carried out in the fields of platform building, achievement transformation, regional service, talent exchange, internship and entrepreneurship.
On the afternoon of October 27th, Li Pengfei and his delegation held full consultations with Zhou Shusen, Standing Committee of Keqiao District Committee and Shen Guanxiang, Director of Science and Technology Bureau of Keqiao District, on the concrete contents of further implementing the co-construction of Keqiao Textile Industry Innovation Research Institute of Xi'an Engineering University, and reached a deep consensus. Subsequently, accompanied by Zhou Shusen, Gao Ling and Li Pengfei went to Jinkeqiao Science and Technology City, Shaoxing to inspect the site of Keqiao Textile Industry Innovation Research Institute.
During this period, Gao Ling and Li Pengfei visited some alumni enterprises and discussed with Shen Kaifang, Wang Maolong, Zhou Congxi and other local alumni how to build Keqiao Textile Industry Innovation Research Institute and how to better realize the deep cooperation and development between alumni and their alma mater. Gao Ling congratulated Hangzhou Bay Alumni Association on its achievements and thanked it for its outstanding contribution to the development of the school cause. It is hoped that the Hangzhou Bay Alumni Association will take part in and support the cooperation between the Alma Mater and the Keqiao District Government, further promote the transformation of school scientific and technological achievements, help the upgrading of local industries, and realize the win-win development of alumni, schools and local governments.
