2019 National College Students Computer Design Competition (Northwest Division Competition) was held at Northwestern University from May 11th to 12th. The Organizing Committee of the Northwest Division received more than 1,000 entries from over 40 universities. After the initial evaluation, a total of 780 entries were selected for the final competition in Northwest division.
With strong support of Teaching Affairs Department and School of Computer Science of XPU,1 3 works from XPU all were finalists in the Northwest Division finals. With great efforts and teamwork of the participants, XPU won 2 first prizes, 6 second prizes and 2 third prizes. Among all the works from XPU, 8 works were shortlisted for the national finals.
National College Students Computer Design Competition was founded in 2008 and has held 11 events in 11 sessions. More than half of universities in China have participated in this event. The competition aims to improve the overall quality of undergraduate teaching and the basic computer teaching level, to arouse college students’ interest and potentialin information technology and skills, and to improve their ability solving practical problems.
