Recently, many works created by students of School of New Media Arts have got great results in the 4th National College Students Network Editing Innovation Competition, the 3rd China Dream&Young Image Festival, the 26th Beijing Student Film Festival, College Students Documentary Unit of Beijing International Film, and China University Microfilm Competition of 7th Vancouver (International) Chinese Film Festival. The gratifying results in the above professional and influential competitionsfully demonstrates that the original works of students from School of New Media Arts are highly competitive, and the cultivation achievements of the School are outstanding.
Two works won the third prize of the 4th National College Students Network Editing Innovation Competition
On April 13th, the 4th National College Students Network Editing Innovation Competition Awarding Conference was held in Nanjing.Jinling Ingenuity produced by Xu Wen, Yang Jiang, Zhang Ke and Xu Bo, Golden Night Talk produced by Mu Xiaoyu both won the third prize ofthe Competition. Kang Hongzhe, as the instructor of the works, won the Outstanding Organization Worker Award.

On April 20th, the awarding ceremony of theThirdChina Dream&Young Image Festival was held in Rizhao, Shandong Province. Ning You, Wang Yongqiang's workMountainand Jing Yanyuan's workIamyour apprentice,separatelywon the second and third prize in the plotunit of the competition.
Five works won the finalists of the 26th BeijingStudentFilm Festival
On April 25th, the award ceremonyof the 20th College Student Original Film Contest, an important unit of the 26th Beijing Student Film Festival,was held in Beijing Normal University. One documentary and four dramas produced by School of New Media Arts were shortlisted for the competition, which surpasses other universities in Shaanxi. XPU was also awarded as the Best Organization Award together with Beijing Film Academy, Zhejiang Media College, Hebei Media College, and China Communication University Nanguang College.
Documentary Hometown Spiritwas shortlisted in three events
Yuan Meng’s work Hometown Spirit, was nominated for the 20th College Student Original Film Competition, the 7th China University Microfilm Competition of Vancouver (International) Chinese Film Festival and student documentary unit of Beijing International Film Festival. The work is a documentary that reflects the current situation of rural people's lives under the poverty alleviation policy by recording a family’slife.
In recent years, School of New Media Arts actively organizes students to participate in domestic and international first-class film and television related events to better cultivate students' professional and practical ability, expand their thinking and broaden their horizons.
