On March 14th afternoon, Professor Paolo Ricci, president of Naples Academy of Fine Arts,vise-president Erminia Mitrano and Adriana de Manes, the director of international office visited XPU. Li Pengfei, vice president of XPU met the foreign guests in the VIP lounge of Jinhua campus. Leaders of International Office, School of Art Engineering also attended the meeting.
Li Pengfei firstly extended a warm welcome to the guests, and briefly introduced the development and characteristics of XPU. He pointed out that Italy is the birthplace of the European Renaissance,with a deep accumulation in art. Xi'an and Rome both are the world's ancient civilization centers and represent the starting and finishing point of the Silk Road. With the strategic opportunity of “The Belt and Road", colleges, the carriers of multi-culture, have unique advantages in inheriting eastern and Western civilization.XPU and Naples Academy of Fine Arts share distinctive features in the field of art design, and fit each other well in majors set-up. It is wished that the academic exchanges and research cooperation between two colleges could be carried out and the exchange platform for teachers and students could be provided.
Professor Paul Ricci briefly introduced the running situation of Naples Academy of Fine Arts, expecting the multi-level exchanges and cooperation, to contribute to the exchange between Chinese and western culture and the common prosperity of human civilization.
