Hosted by Shaanxi Provincial Furniture Association, Shaanxi Industrial Design Association, Xi'an Huazhan Exhibition Co. Ltd.,the 15th Xi'an International Furniture Design Competition was organized by Xi'an Qujiang Culture Communication Co. Ltd. The competition was held in Qujiang International Convention and Exhibition Center. Teachers and students of XPU won several awards.
Majoring in Design, Environment and Art, Arts, students from 20 universities such as XPU, Xi'an Jiao Tong University, Northwestern University, Northwestern Polytechnical University participated the contest. The contest also attracted some furniture enthusiasts and designer in Xi'an Laifu Furniture Research Institute. With the guidance of Zhang Xiaoping, teacher from College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the work Shangwen Desk, designed by Gao Xiaozhen, Yang Jingjing and Fu Yanqiu, won the gold desk design award. Among allparticipatinguniversities XPU won themost awards.
