On May 26, Professor Yu Qinglin from Thompson Rivers University, one of our cooperative universities visited XPU. President Gao Yong welcomed the delegation in the VIP room on Jinhua campus. Persons in charge of International Office, Graduate School and College of Science attended the meeting.
Gao Yong emphasized that the key point of the cooperation between two universities is the exchange of teachers, hoping to carry out a wide and diverse cooperation in the exchange of teachers and research study. He hoped that with joint efforts, the established Research & Development centers at math can be put into operation as soon as possible, based on this center, there will be more teachers to be exchanged, and the two universities can cooperate with various forms.
In the afternoon, Prof. Yu Qinglin, together with other mathematics teachers had a symposium in the First Conference Room on Jinhua Campus. And Doctors in relevant research orientation and expertise had an extensive and in-depth exchange with him.
Yu Qinglin is the professor, working for math department of Thomson Rivers University, Canada, and dean of Optimization and Decision Science Center. He is an international authoritative scholar for graph matching theory, his research has been widely cited. Up to now, he has published more than 70 SCI papers on the international mathematics journals with two scholarly monographs and many translation books and editions, and once was invited to give a lecture for a dozen of international academic conferences, acting as a host for Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) in continuous 20 years.
