From May 24 to May 28, delegation of totally 17 teachers and students from our friendly cooperation partners, Saint Mary's University of Minnesota and University of Oklahoma Christian Church visited XPU.
On the afternoon of May 24, Principal Gao Yong in new campus warmly welcomed the visiting guests and had a brief introduction about the general situation of our university, pointing out that students and teachers exchange between cooperation partners will be the fundamental route for universities to realize internationalization and enrich international campus atmosphere. Both Saint Mary's University of Minnesota and University of Oklahoma Christian Churches established a long-term and friendly cooperation relationship with our university and had visiting affairs every year, which will not only provide students with the opportunity to learn the latest knowledge from abroad, but also broaden teachers’ international horizons, making them enrich their social experiences and improve their specialized knowledge and skills. As a result, programs will improve the quality of our teaching, research and talent cultivation. In addition, people in charge of International Cooperation and Exchange Office, Management College, Postgraduate Department, Academic Affairs Office, Student Affairs Office, Communist Youth League Committee and other departments attended the meeting.
After visiting School History Museum and Textile and Apparel museum, in our university, delegation had symposium with teachers and students of related colleges and jointly held the concert and other interesting sports activities. During the period of staying in Xi’an, delegation also visited the Shaanxi Euease Bus Co., Ltd., Tao Yi village of Fu Ping and Shaanxi History Museum, through which they got a deep impression on Xi’an.
Saint Mary's university of Minnesota and University of Oklahoma Christian Church are our two important friendly cooperation partners in United States. Our university has established the relationship since 2006 and successfully carried out the double degree programs on 2+2, 1+2+1 for undergraduate and 1+1+0.5 for postgraduate respectively with University of Oklahoma Christian Church. We sent excellent teachers for further study and research regularly. Up to now, nearly 100 students and 10 teachers have been sent there. Saint Mary's university of Minnesota established the relationship with our university in 2010. We have reached a consensus already in the discount of 30 percent of tuition fees for postgraduate students on program 1 + 1 + 0.5 and will sign an agreement in the following days.
