As one of the institutions approved by the Ministry of Education to enroll foreign students and grant master and bachelor degree, XPU began to enroll foreign students from1992. So far, more than 200 short-term and long-term foreign students from the United States, Germany, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, Kazakhstan, Cameroon and other countries have studied here. At the same time, the school receives students from the United States, Australia, New Zealand and other countries to study Chinese and Chinese culture.International students from the“The Belt&Road”countries who are pursuing their academic study at XPU can apply for Xi’an“The Belt & Road”International Students Scholarship.

In recent years,XPU has conducted a comprehensive exploration and reform of the education of foreign students in terms of teaching concepts, training models and management methods, to form a unique teaching model and building a scientific teaching quality evaluation system. In terms of the type of training, academic education is the center, and various forms of Chinese training courses and short-term exchange programs are offered at the same time. In the future,XPU willt ake dominant disciplines and specialty majors as breakthrough to gradually expand the majors taught in English to attract more overseas students.

XPU offers international student apartment in Jinhua campus. The rooms are fully equipped with air conditioning, Internet, separate bathroom,waterheater, heating, washing machine, refrigerator, microwave oven, electromagnetic stove,and etc. The library,playgrounds for football,basketball and tennis and other cultural and sports venues are also open to international students.

Requirements

1.Applicants should be Non-Chinese citizens with a valid ordinary-type passport.

2.The general health state and learning ability of the applicants should be good enough for him/her to pursue the course of study at XPU.

3.Applicants should respect Chinese habits and customs, and should abide by both Chinese law & regulations and XPU rules & regulations.

4.Specific requirements regarded to the programs.

    1)Chinese Language and Cultural Program

       Aged between 16 and 45

       Senior-hign diploma with excellent academic performance

    2)Bachelor Degree Program

       Aged between 16 and 30

       Senior-hign diploma and above

       HSK 4 with 180 scores above

    3)Master Degree Program

       Under the age of 35

       Undergraduate diploma with good academic performance

       HSK 5 with 180 scores
