Under the guidance of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture, 2018 Sichuan Original Animation Contest is an original animation contest which jointly organized by the Revitalization Base of National Animation Game Industry (Sichuan) and the Sichuan Animation Research Center and social institutions. The competition

was started in June 2018. After four months of collecting works, Study Hard and Make Progress Everyday

produced by students from School of New Media Art of  XPU stood out in 1735 works. It was awarded the

prize of “ExcellentWorks”of animated short film in this competition.

      Study Hard and Make Progress Everyday was instructed by Yan Yao, Lei Tong, and Van Huizen Bastiaan,

teachers coming from Department of Video Animation Art, School of New Media Art, XPU. With aunique

style,the work reminded students of childhood memories and deep thinking in education.

      This prized emonstrated the remarkable results of XPU’s talent cultivation, especially instudents’ practical

abilities. In recent years, the works from Department of Video Animation Arthave been highly approved by

experts in this field which has also played a good leading role in practical teaching.
