On November 17, the 9th National College Student Yarn Design Final Competition was held in XPU. Secretary of Party Committee Liu Jiangnan, President Gao Ling, Vice President Yin Yongjian, President of China Textile & Clothing Education Association, Ni Yangsheng, Director of Teaching Guidance Committee of Textiles, Yu Chongwen, and more than 200 experts, scholars and teachers from Donghua University, Tianjin Polytechnic University, Soochow University and other 14 textile universities participated in this conference.
In the morning, the preliminary meeting was held in the No.3 Conference Room of Jinhua Campus. Liu Chengkun, vice president of School of Textile Science and Engineering, presided over the meeting. First of all, Ni Yangsheng delivered a speech on behalf of the industry and expressed his gratitude to XPU for actively hosting this conference. He also briefly introduced the works in academic competition of China Textile & Clothing Education Association in recent years. He hoped that all participants can fully take advantages of this exhibition and cooperation opportunity to improve and promote the scientific development of Chinese textile industry. Subsequently, Liu Jiangnan made a welcome speech on behalf of XPU. He expressed warm gratitude to the industry associations and partner universities for their caring and supporting for a long time. He said that XPU would do its best to serve for this competition, and ensure the smooth running of the conference. Finally, Sun Runjun, Executive President of School of Textile Science and Engineering, introduced the plan of initial and final evaluation to experts and all the participates.
After the preliminary meeting, the experts reviewed the selected works. 6 special prizes, 12 first prizes, 18 second prizes, 48 third prizes were selected among all the 228 works, and also 8 best organizational units and 17 excellent instructors were chosen.
In the afternoon, the awarding ceremony was held in the West Textile Report Hall. The participating leaders and guests presented prizes to the award-winning teachers, students and groups. Then all guests took a photo and visited the Fashion Culture Creative Industry Center and the Collaborative Innovation Center of XPU.
