On May 31, 2019, the Third “Golden Silk Road” Cup Film&Television Works Awards Ceremony was held at Nanyang hotel, Xi’an Jiaotong University. Jamal Shah, President of National Art Committee of Pakistan, Liu Baoping, General Accountant of Education Department of Shaanxi, Gao Ling, President of XPU, and over 300 teachers and students from XPU and other guests attended the ceremony.

The ceremony revealed 10 awards for film&television works. Among those works, A Lost Road, Buried ina Village, Cocoon, Walking on the Hengshan Mountain, L-2099 were awarded as the Best Drama Film, the Best Documentary, the Best Cartoon, the Best Host, and the Best Clothing and Modeling respectively.

The 2019 Dynamic Exhibition of Graduation Design Works from School of New Media Arts was showed after the ceremony. 60 costumes were picked out among 400 works to show integration of tradition and modernity, craftsman and technology. Designer Guo Rui’s work Native Force won the Hanmian Award of the 27th China International Youth Designers Contest. Yan Rufang’s work False Seems to Be Truth was nominated for the listing of 2019 Chinese Cup﹒Cool of College Graduates Fashion Design Competition.

The ceremony showed that teachers and students of School of New Media Arts expressed new conceptionsand views among college students in the new media times. It also demonstrated the modern vitality of Xi’an. (Trans-editing by Wang Huan)
