On the afternoon of April 20th, Prof. Juergen Lahmann, President of University of Applied Sciences Hof, together with Prof. Thomas Meuche, Vice-president and Prof. Susanne Krause, Director of Applied Sciences Hof visited XPU. Gao Yong, President of XPU welcomed the visiting guests in the meeting room of library in Lintong campus.
Gao Yong first introduced the current situation and characteristics of XPU, pointing that we promoted the common development while focusing on the textile and apparel fields. It was our obligation to cultivate the excellent engineers and continuously promote the combination of teaching theories and practice. It was a good opportunity to enhance both teachers and students’ practical abilities with the cooperation between enterprises and school. Meanwhile, with the continuous globalization and internationalization , more than 50 institutions and organizations prefer to have the in-depth cooperation with XPU. Now we have been cooperating with Reutlingen University for almost 20 years and two parts have benefited a lot from the cooperation. Gao said, both “Industry 4.0” put forward by Germany and “Made in China 2025” by China focused on the same demand of manufacturing transition, which showed the greater requirements for talents in the future.
Prof. Juergen Lahmann introduced their education concept of cooperation with enterprise, practice-orientation and international development and came to an agreement in both profession arrangement and education concept, looking forward to further multi-level cooperation.
Finally, Prof. Juergen Lahmann visited the History Museum and Textile and Apparel Museum of XPU.
