Lately, Xi'an Municipal Party Committee and Government award 73 experts the title of “Xi’an Star”,and the candidates have the great contribution in the fields of science & technology, culture and health in Xi’an in 2019. XPU’s Prof. Guan Shengqi also obtained this honorary title in the field of science & technology.

Prof. Guan has been devoted to the research of bionic visual perception mechanism, intelligent robot visual inspection and structural design, new sensors and modern inspection technology, key technologies for smart manufacturing, and design and control of electromechanical products.

In the past three years, Prof. Guan’s research group focused on the research of the core algorithm of machine vision inspection, and formed the key technology for surface quality inspection of industrial products with bionic visual perception, which has provided new ideas for the flexible inspection of the quality of intelligent manufacturing products. With related high-tech enterprise industrial application cooperation, the formation of key technologies can effectively improve the accuracy of industrial product defect detection, reduce labor costs, bring huge economic benefits for enterprises. It has important theoretical significance and practical value for promoting technological progress in manufacturing and related industries.
