On October 22-24, the 11th China Textile Academic Conference was held in Qingdao, Shandong province. XPU undertook a branch venue seminar on textile recycling technologies both online and offline.

With the theme of “applicating advanced technologies in textile industry”, the conference sets a main venue and 10 branch venues，carrying out in-depth exchanges on topics of biodegradable fibers, high-performance fibers and composite materials. As a key part, high-profile academic awards in Chinese textile industry have been unveiled. Prof. Wu Hailiang from the School of Textile Science and Engineering is awarded the title of 2021 textile academic leader. The thesis written by the team of Prof. Fan Wei wins the Excellent Paper Award. The postgraduate thesis guided by Prof. Wu Zhanxing from the School of Environmental and Chemical Engineering is awarded as 2021 Excellent Master Thesis Award in Textile. XPU teachers have won the title of textile academic leader for two consecutive years, and Excellent Paper Award for four consecutive years, reflecting XPU characteristics and innovation capabilities.

On the afternoon of the 23rd, the School of Textile Science and Engineering launched a branch venue seminar both online and offline, focusing on scientific and technical issues. Prof. Sun Runjun, Prof. Wang Xueyan, and Prof. Fan Wei were invited to give video reports, sharing their scientific research results.
