Since the outbreak of COVID-19, under the leadership of the library leaders, XPU’s all librarians spared no effort and adopted all necessary measures to combat the epidemic.

During the pandemic, the library team has provided services on the front line and online platforms to provide consulting services for all teachers and students, timely expanded remote access channels to help teachers and students obtain necessary resources, used online platforms to develop live document inspection courses to help graduates access their literatures and graduation theses; and key librarians were selected to participate in the XPU’s anti-epidemic work. “Fighting the epidemic and providing continuous service” is the requirement of librarians for themselves. In this special time, they not only met the needs of all teachers and students in time, but also furthered their professions.

As a membership of the Shaanxi Society of Social Sciences Information, the library has been dedicated to serving, pioneering and innovating in this fight, and has overcame the difficulties together with brother universities. It was awarded the honorary title of Advanced Collective. At the same time, Zhao Hang, one of XPU’s librarians was awarded the Advanced Individual.
