XPU Autumn campus recruitment was carried out simultaneously online and offline, providing graduates with job-seeking platforms and opportunities through multiple channels and forms, and ensuring the number of posts through online recruitment, aerial double-election meeting and other online methods. Since the beginning of this semester, 542 pieces of recruitment information has been published online, and the number of posts provided is 71,172. The units involved state-owned enterprises, private enterprises, institutions of higher education, government bodies, scientific research and design units, middle and early education units and foreign-funded enterprises across 24 provinces and cities. It will further improve the quality and quantity of job supply through offline recruitment, and increase the success rate of graduates signing contracts.
Since September 14th, XPU has conducted offline special publicity activities in the two campuses, held 110 special publicity meetings and reserved 180 campus special job fairs, providing a total of 10,354 jobs, with central enterprises and state-owned enterprises accounting for 48.62%. The recruitment industry involves construction, manufacturing, electric power, education, information transmission, software and information technology services, etc., showing the overall characteristics of high quality and large number of employers. So far the rate of graduates from School of Urban Planning and Municipal Engineering contracts-signing is 33.9%; School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering is 16.2%; School of Electronics and Information is 9.48%. In accordance with the requirements of epidemic prevention and control, we paid strict attention to health registration of the employing unit participants, site disinfection and the graduates' body temperature measurement, hand disinfection and so on. On the basis of the development of the specific orderly presentation, small and medium-sized on-site job fairs were held.
On September 21st morning, a special job fair featuring livable environment was co-held by Admission and Employment Office and School of Urban Planning and Municipal Engineering. A total of 53 enterprises from key units all over the country attended the event, providing more than 300 jobs. At the meeting, the heads of relevant departments in XPU, the party and government leaders of the School and the representatives of employers focused on the cooperation between enterprise talent demand and school talent training. Agreements on employment base cooperation were signed with representatives of five enterprises, namely China Hydropower Third Bureau, Shaanxi Sixth Construction, China Construction Xinjiang Construction, Four Seasons Muge and Shaanxi Kaicheng Construction. This activity realized optimal allocation of resources from both sides, and provided a new opportunity to achieve mutual benefits and win-win results.
On the morning of September 24th, XPU and Xianju County Human Resources and Social Security Bureau jointly held the autumn job fair and school-enterprise symposium of Zhejiang Xianju 2020, "Swallows Returning to Nest: Introducing Talents from Schools". Ten key enterprises in Xianju County, Zhejiang Province participated in the job fair, providing 381 jobs for graduates. Su Bo, deputy director of the Admissions and Employment Office, Li Jianxue, Party Secretary of the School of Environmental and Chemical Engineering, and Zhang Luohong, Executive Dean, had discussions with Hu Songwei, deputy bureau of the Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of Xianju County. The two sides had an in-depth conversation on further cooperation in talents and scientific research, laying a solid foundation for deepening cooperation. In order to help the 2021 graduates find jobs, our school actively expands channels and keep in close contact with talents and service institutions. Admission and Employment Office and Graduate School office organized students to visit companies in Shaoxing and Ningbo.
XPU took an active participation in the employment exchange activities in the province and participated in the second campus cooperation conference on "Wisdom in High-tech for Better Future" held by Weinan High-tech Zone. XPU discussed new measures of campus cooperation with experts and professors from 17 universities including Xi'an Jiaotong University and Northwestern Polytechnical University and representatives from 40 enterprises in the high-tech zone. On September 25th, organized by the Admissions and Employment Office, teachers and students from different schools took part in the autumn recruitment of science and technology Innovation Port in west china which was sponsored by the Xi'an Government, Shaanxi Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security and Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education. More than 470 graduates from 9 schools of XPU participated in the job fair. There were 1,236 participating units from 23 provinces (cities, autonomous regions) including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Shandong and Jiangsu, providing more than 70,000 jobs, and the graduates were satisfied with what jobs they were offered. XPU will continue to provide various recruitment activities for our 2021 graduates, and increase the linkage of talents.
In October, XPU will launch offline recruitment activities for the third alumni enterprise recruitment week of Xi'an Polytechnic University. And a large-scale comprehensive job fair for the 2021 graduates will be held. At the same time, In order to match the talent needs of relevant units and regions, XPU will carry out detailed employment guidance and information sharing.
