In order to ensure that the postgraduate degree awarding  during the prevention and control of  COVID-19 can  be carried out as normal, the pre-defense and  defense of graduate  thesis of XPU is carried out by network this year. From May 10th to 20th,  a total of 13 postgraduate training units organized video thesis defense conference and more than 700 graduate students successfully passed pre-defense.

During the video defense, students shared the presentation PPT online and reported on the research background, ideas, experimental design, research results, and etc. Experts of defense commitee asked questions about the report and gave revision opinions and suggestions, which laid the foundation for graduate students to further revise and improve the thesis. Supervisors of graduate education also attended the conferences to ensure the standard and quality of the online video defense.
