From August 18 to 19, XPU’s Vice President Li Pengfei and other relevant heads went to Shishi, Fujian Province, to participate in Shishi innovative talents “5R Program” conference and the contract signing ceremony between Shishi Municipal People’s Government and XPU. The event was attended by teachers from the Transformation Center for Scientific and Technological Achievements, the School of Textile Science and Engineering, the School of Apparel and Art Design and the School of New Media Arts. 

On the afternoon of August 18, the contract signing ceremony was held in Shishi International Textile City. Li Pengfei and Shishi Vice Mayor Huang Yanyi co-signed the cooperation agreement, which indicated that XPU Shishi Research Institute would co-build by XPU and Shishi Municipal People’s Government. Meanwhile, the innovative talents “5R Program” conference was held in Shishi. The Shishi Research Institute of XPU took part in the ceremony as cooperative partner.

Before the signing ceremony, Li Pengfei and other relevant heads held talks with Huang Chunhui, Mayor of Shishi, and Huang Yanyi, Vice Mayor of Shishi. Li firstly introduced the history of XPU and its current development status in personnel training, scientific and technological research and development, fruits transformation in recent years. Then he reviewed recent achievements of the Shishi Research Institute, which were jointly made by XPU and Shishi Municipal People’s Government. He expressed the hope that Shishi Municipal People’s Government would continue to strengthen its care and support for Shishi Research Institute and strive to build the institute into a representative cooperation platform for industry-university-research.

After the signing ceremony, Wang Jinmei from the School of Textile Science and Engineering, Tian Baohua from the School of Apparel and Art Design and Lei Tong from the School of New Media Arts attended XPU specialized project conference organized by the Shishi Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. Three teachers of XPU introduced the development and application of antibacterial and antiviral fabrics, the design and services of original brand products, the research and development of international school uniforms, the advertising of new media products and the design of interactive digital content, etc. They also interacted with the enterprises’ representatives attending the conference.
